Eric Ernest Johnson is best well known for his seemingly simple, but compositionally complex paintings that reference elements of Folk Art, Matisse’s cut-outs and a playful child’s sense of delight in the use of color. With this exhibition of new paintings and sculptures, Johnson continues to refine and reinvigorate his previous subject matter. Landscapes take on political and environmental issues in a deft, unpresuppossing style. Scenes are, for the most part, depicted from above, a bird's eye view, if you will, of Humans playing out their idiosyncratic games.

Johnson will also be exhibiting 2 of his clever, simplified, but symbolically potent mobiles, which will occupy the front windows of the gallery.
